Solihull Bicycle Campaign Manifesto:
To promote cycling as an ethical, sustainable and healthy form of transport; campaign for a high quality cycle infrastructure network (such as that seen in the Netherlands); and support people-centric urban design and projects in both the Solihull area and the UK. Activities in our remit include: - Responding to consultations.
- Raising awareness of cycling and recruiting members.
- Research.
- Identifying issues and improvements for existing routes.
- Designing infrastructure solutions.
- Liaising with engineers/architects regarding design criteria.
- Lobbying local councils and government.
- Organising and attending social and group rides.
This manifesto is in no way set in stone and may be changed as, and when is required. So as to accurately reflect our aims and activities. Any comments and suggestions for amendment are welcome.
