Hi all Push Bikes (the B'ham cycle campaign) are organising a mass ride to raise awareness for the Space4Cycling campaign on the 29th September, which will coincide with the Conservative Party Conference. The ride is open to all and will be a slow-paced trip around the city center (note: this is not a protest or party political event, just a ride to raise awareness). The meeting point is Victoria Square in the center of Birmingham with a 6:00pm meeting time for a 6:30pm start. More details can be found on the Facebook events page: www.facebook.com/events/542695035863554/To support those who wish to attend we will be organising a feeder ride leaving from Tudor Grange Park at 4:30pm via the Rea Valley route. The route is approximately 10 miles long and will be following mostly quiet and off-road routes with short section of mildly busy road. For those who wish to join the route at a later point, we will be arriving and departing from Cannon Hill Park Garden Tearoom at approximately 5:30pm. At the end of the Space4cycling ride we will be returning using the same route. Note: due to receeding daylight hours it is essential that you have working lights for your bicycle. For those who may struggle to cycle the route, there are regular train services leaving from Solihull and Olton stations. However it might be worth checking with the train providers when bicycles are permitted on the trains.
