What is bike hour? “ Bike hour is like earth hour, but for bikes” Bike hour is a sort of mass cycle ride that takes place across the world every equinox (so twice a year), to raise awareness of cycling. There are no formal organisers or routes. And the only condition to take part is; that you get on your bicycle and ride between the hours of 6pm and 7pm. Wherever you are, whether you are on your own or in a group, just get on your bike and ride! For all those that are interested there will be a ride, organised by myself, leaving from the centre of Tudor Grange Park at 6pm. It will most likely be a leisurely ride (about 5 miles) out to Monkspath and back for a 6:30/ 7:00 finish finish. Disclaimer: It will most likely be dark, so front and rear lights should be considered mandatory and high visibility clothing is at your own discretion. Those who wish to join the organised ride do so at their own risk.
